# The Unofficial Apple Weblog - Keep tabs on TUAW with a TUAW RSS Widget - install TUAW's Dashboard widget, and you can get up-to-the-minute MacWorld '07 reports. [tuaw] # Apple Gazette promises to update their page every 30 seconds during Steve Jobs' keynote address today (9-11 left coast time, 12-2 eastern). # I received yesterday a Radian SkyTone RST103 USB Skype phone. Box opening photos at imacpr0n.com/skytone. I ordered the phone from von-phone.com at 4:41PM on Thursday, January 4. John Morley notified me that it had been shipped at 5:04PM. I received it 4 days later, first class US mail from California to New York. The phone came bundled with a CD containing the Windows driver. You have to download the SkyTone Driver, "Skype for Mac OS X", install the enclosed "SkyMACMate" application, plug in the phone, start SkyMACMate and Skype, and configure Skype's "Audio" preferences to use the "USB Audio Device" for input, output, and ringing (I had to configure the preferences again when I booted this morning. I sincerely hope I don't have to do it every time). The phone greets you with a "Let's Skype" display:
Von-phone.com calls the SkyTone the Yea P8D Skype Phone. Don't know why the different name, but I definitely got the same phone that's in their photos. Unfortunately, the SkyMACMate app does not come with a full 128x128 version of its icon, so it looks really bad in the task switcher.
