Run by a Linux-based computer at each seat, it lets passengers watch TV or movies, listen to music, order food, and play games, including, in the demo, Doom. The advertised web site, letVAfly.com, asks Americans to petition the U.S. Department of Transportation to approve Virgin's application to provide U.S. domestic service. [gizmodo]

It can burn five different types of data disks, Audio CDs and MP3 disks, VCD, SVCD, DVD, and DivX video, three types of disk image file, and you can copy data disks. It's free and open source. 6.4 meg zip file. Installed and ran, but I haven't burned a disk with it yet. [gazette]

# applemacros at Mac OS X Hints - Ignore cache when refreshing a web page - if you hold down the Shift key when clicking reload in Firefox or Camino, it will ignore the cache, and reload everything from the web site. I've done this for a long time, but since it's not documented anywhere, you may not have discovered it. [macosxhints]
