# Apple - Ringtones are now available in iTunes. You need to check the "Ringtone" column on the "View Options..." item on the "View" menu. You can then sort by that column to find the songs in your library for which Apple is licensed to sell you a ringtone. On clicking on one of the little bell icons, I was asked for my iTunes store password, then required to read and accept the "Terms of Service". I was then able to select a section of the song, decide whether to fade in and/or fade out (defaults to both), and choose to "Cancel" or "Buy". On buying the ringtone (99¢), it appeared in the "Ringtones" section of my "Library". Then I had to enable ringtone syncing on the iPhone page. Syncing told me that I was not authorized to play that song, even though I could play it. I had to double-click the ringtone and type my password again, to hear it in iTunes and then sync it with my iPhone. Worked fine. Unfortunately, the song from which I really want a ringtone is not one of the blessed ones.
# Open Community - Vienna "is a freeware, open source RSS/Atom newsreader for the Mac OS X operating system." If I weren't accustomed to Google Reader, this is the first RSS reader app I've seen that I might be willing to use. [tuaw]
